As the parent organization, TERRIFIC, Inc. operates several diverse housing, residential care and human service programs. Notably, TERRIFIC, Inc. is the Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL) Regional Senior Service Agency (RSSA) for Wards One, Two and Four residents who are 60 years old and older. The complex and ever-changing needs of more than 30,000 District seniors in Wards One, Two, and Four are met through a full range of services that include socialization, 19 community dining sites, caregiver-respite care, social, recreational and cultural activities and through the Oasis Center for Homeless Seniors and the Asian Pacific Islander Community Center (API). Monday through Friday, participants enjoy culturally-sensitive hot meals in an inviting community dining setting with their peers. The nutritious lunches meet one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) requirements for healthy people.
