Community Liaison

Position Responsibilities:

Dynamic 501C3 nonprofit, housing and human service organization seeks a qualified Community Liaison: The Community Liaison is responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnerships and alliances, collaboration, coordination and solicitation of community/business/corporate/faith-based, and other pro-bono, sponsored and paid resources; identifies, schedules, follows-up and oversees consistent, quality, regular, ongoing operation of venues, events, and community large activities.

Responsible for identifying, engaging and enhancing senior participation, enrollment and quality involvement. Participates as community representative in a variety of diverse community meetings, i.e., Mini Commissions, ANC’s, LGBTQ Senior Advisory, LGBTQ Programming, Age-Friendly DC, the Villages, DACL Special Programming, Mrs. Senior DC, Brain Games, Centenarian Luncheon, Senior Olympics) events, forums.

Responsible for documentation/CSTARS consistent with DACL requirements. The Community Liaison serves the Socialization Hubs in Wards 1, 2, 4 and City-Wide.

Position Qualifications:

The Community Liaison must possess a B.A. in Communications, Human Services or related field plus three years’ experience.

Food Service Worker

Position Responsibilities: Dynamic 501C3 nonprofit, housing, and human service organization, seeks a qualified part-time Food Service Worker.

The Food Service Worker assists with the Community Dining Site that implements food services, social services, activities, and wellness program that promotes health, healthy lifestyles, and socialization for District residents aged sixty years old and older.

Position Qualifications: A minimum of 2-3 years of hospitality, customer service, and food service implementation; documentation experience; must possess skills in social interaction and group communication; a current D.C. Food Handler’s Certification and CPR Certification. The Food Service Worker must be dependable and able to respond to crises. Strong and personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality. Ability to think outside the box when it comes to client offerings, motivation, and conflict resolution. Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture & values of TERRIFIC, Inc. and its finders; maintain clean and organized work sites, take ownership of the guests whom you serve, knowing their names and preferences, ensure that all food products are consistently prepared and served according to the standards, maintain a clean and safe environment, plate & prepare small food items and accompaniments. Demonstrates empathy, displays and delivers genuine care to our clients, and continuously surprise and delight clients.
